Tk Open Systems offers support services for Linux and Open Source software. We incorporated in January 1996. Our main office is located in the Talpiot industrial area in the southern part of Jerusalem. We have one subsidiary office in the Har HaHotsvim industrial area in the northern area of Jerusalem. Tk Open Systems is privately owned. Approximately 60% of revenue is from export of IT services.
We currently have thirty employees, including fifteen programmers, system administrators and IT consultants. The expertise of these employees covers Linux and Open Source application administration, kernel and device programming, and application programming. They are experienced in C, Java, PHP, Perl, Javascript, and C++ programming in Microsoft, Linux and Solaris environments.
We have recently completed development of board support packages and application programming projects for embedded systems using the Xtensa architecture, Intel PXA270, Freescale PPC, Freescale i.MX25 and i.MX28, TI DM355 and Analog Devices Blackfin microprocessors as well as application maintenance for two older 8052-based devices.
We provide C, C++, PHP and Perl, Python and MySQL programing services for Internet applications and other purposes. Example applications include an IP traffic accounting system for the IUCC at Tel Aviv University, modifications to a PHPAdsNew-based advertisement server for an on-line news agency, and a system of custom scripts for managing spam on several types of email servers. We produced the Hebrew version of OpenOffice.org and provided the programming infrastructure to Sun Microsystems to support the other right-to-left languages such as Arabic, Persian, Urdu, and Syriac.
Tk Open Systems has recently provided consulting services to government ministries and private organizations for the writing of public tenders, performing supplier evaluations, designing IP networks and evaluating new technologies.
